19 October 2012

Special Branch Committee, 11.00 am - 12.30 pm, Committee Room, Civic Centre.

In order to keep branch stewards as up to date as possible on the council’s budget position a decision has been taken to have fortnightly meetings between each branch committee. The budget position is a rapidly moving situation and I believe that leaving our discussions to branch committee alone is not sufficient.

Further meetings will be booked in with more notice!

Facility time has been agreed for the meeting.

Please make every effort to attend, and please confirm your attendance or register your apologies with the branch office in advance.

Special Branch Committee, 2.30 – 3.30 pm in the Pandon Room at the Civic Centre

The council is considering adopting a process that uses objective criteria to select staff for redundancy in place of their previous approach of mass interviews.

There are pros and cons to each method and no decision has been made yet. This special branch committee will consider the options.
